Calling all Musicians - With Maestro Michael Flamhaft conducting, join the Great Neck Park District Community Band. Register for this new Park District program which offers musicians an opportunity to express their artistic abilities. This program includes rehearsals, a concert at the end of the program and a Community Band shirt. Park District resident fee is $50 for the semester. Non-Park District resident rates apply. Great Neck House Winter Class Registration - Classes for the winter session at Great Neck House begin on Monday, January 25, 2010. Registration is currently taking place and is on a first-come, first-served basis during regular registration department hours. Look in your Winter 2009-10 Great Events brochure where you will find a complete list of classes available for adults and children. Non-residents may sign up anytime after Monday, January 4. Don’t forget that it is necessary to have a park card to participate in Park District programs. The names and dates of all children in the family must be entered into the computer prior to registration by bringing their birth certificates to Great Neck House. All classes run 15 weeks unless otherwise noted. A detailed list of class dates will be provided at registration. Please call 482-0355 for further information.
Adult Tennis Clinics at Parkwood - Parkwood Tennis Center is offering clinics for adults. There are 2 sessions to choose from: Tuesday, December 29 or Wednesday, December 30, which both run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The fee is $60 for Park District residents and $85 for non-Park District residents. Clinics will include instruction, drilling and games. Doubles strategy will also be incorporated into the clinics. Please call the Tennis Center at 829-9050 for more information. |
