For over 40 years, Steppingstone Waterside Theatre has been a major part of the Great Neck Park District summer scene. This summer we will feature another amazing line-up of top-notch performances. The schedule includes all-time favorites such as Big Shot, Neil Berg's 100 Years of Broadway, Plaza Productions presents..., Dave Sear hosting our Folk Festival and the annual Persian show (which will once again be held at North Hempstead Beach Park). Summer 2017 also includes an amazing national act, incredible tribute bands and wonderful new performers to balance the ever-popular returning entertainers.

We will continue our tradition of Saturday/Sunday shows, with two Thursday concerts added, to rev up the audience for the weekend shows. After the huge success of last year's Carnival for the Park District's 100th anniversary, a similar festival is being scheduled. Keep your eyes open for further details!
The Orchestra is comprised of professional musicians from throughout New Jersey and the Tri-State area. Each comes together under the baton of the Garden State Philharmonic Conductor to create magic. Though the size of the ensemble may vary from performance to performance based on repertoire, the integrity and artistic quality never wavers.
Performing songs of The Band, The Weight Band is keeping the spirit and the music alive that helped define an era. Members of The Weight were either actual players in The Band, or are directly and deeply connected to their legacy. Prepare for an unforgettable performance and enjoy timeless hits like "The Weight", "Up On Cripple Creek", "Ophelia", "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down", "Rag Mama Rag" and so many others.
For Roger Davidson, music is a world without boundaries. Though commonly termed a classical artist, Roger has developed a fearlessly eclectic reach, both as a composer and pianist. “Music is for the world,” says Roger, whose acclaimed catalog ranges from chamber, symphonic and choral pieces to jazz, tango, Klezmer, children’s music and a wide span of Latin and Brazilian projects.
The songs include 1960's style dance music and "downtown" rhythm and blues. In Baltimore circa 1962, plump teenager Tracy Turnblad's dream is to dance on The Corny Collins Show, a local TV dance program based on the real-life Buddy Deane Show.
Presenting the comic opera, The Elixir of Love by Donizetti featuring the big hit, Una Furtiva Lagrima. The orchestra, conducted by Anthony LaGruth the North Shore Music Festival arises out of a local need for great classical music, uniting the local worlds of music, ideas, art and natural beauty to enrich the human spirit.
For over a decade, RUBIX KUBE has taken the universe by storm as the most original ‘80s tribute band of all time! “The EIGHTIES STRIKE BACK Show” is a one-of-a-kind, ever-evolving, interactive ‘80s extravaganza! Out on the road you may come across many inferior ‘80s acts, but don’t be Fa-fa-fa-foolin! Be sure to jump in the DeLorean with us, because “where we’re going, we don’t need roads!”
Formed in 2003, Mambo Loco has become synonymous with the classic music of Afro-Cuban and Puerto Rican origin. During the past several years Larry, Bill, Cristian, Wayne and Alfredo have been bringing the best of "Old School" Latin and Latin Jazz music to the Long Island, NY area.

When Festival Day concludes, Yacht Rock Revue returns to Steppingstone Marina to play the soft rock hits form the '70's and '80's including classics by artists such as Hall & Oates, Jackson Browne, Toto and more.
Join us for our Family Fun Day featuring this popular '90's band as they perform a kid-friendly show at 4 p.m. You will hear songs that all ages will enjoy! At 7 p.m., the band plays their hits including "The Freshmen," "Photograph, "Colorful" and much more!
A tribute to Simon and Garfunkel & hosted by Dave Sear, The Guthrie Bros. bring their love of music to the stage. The same period found us coming to the conclusion that brotherhood was not something to hide, but rather, to feature. The combination of two guitars, two vocals and two brothers was an idea whose time had come. At last, the obstacles to success began to disappear. They headed east and picked up a publishing deal on the way.
At 7 p.m., Beth Jucovy, artistic director and main choreographer of Dance Visions NY, presents musical dance performances by local talented artists. The program is hosted by Shirley Romaine.
Guitarist Joe “JJ” Sansaverino has reached millions with his music, touring the United States, Canada, Europe, Africa, Asia, the South Pacific and the Caribbean. He has worked with the best in the business in a wide range of idioms, both live and in the studio. JJ puts forward a stunning selection of his original compositions, with the help of a stellar array of musicians, producers and special guests.
Conductor Michael Flamhaft, returns with his 50-piece band to pay homage to great songs in American history and how they played a part in the 100 years of the Great Neck Park District. Commissioner Robert A. Lincoln, Jr. will be featured as a guest narrator.
In partnership with the Town of North Hempstead (Supervisor Judi Bosworth, Councilwoman Anna Kaplan and Commissioner Jill Weber), the annual Persian show returns to North Hempstead Park with Sepideh. Sepideh believes in being a strong, sexy, proud, yet independent Persian woman, breaking away from the previously perceived Persian female image of victim.
Neil Berg continues the tradition of closing the Steppingstone season with his homage to the hits of Broadway. He brings a talented group of singers and musicians to perform selections from the most popular Broadway shows.
