Park Facilities
Parkwood Sports Complex is composed of an indoor tennis center, an ice skating rink and a pool. Parkwood Pool [65 Arrandale Ave., 487-2975] has an Olympic-size swimming pool, an intermediate and a kiddy pool. There is a summer recreation program, dining area, snack bar, dressing cubicles, restrooms, showers and lockers. All are accessible to the handicapped. The pool is normally open in the summer months from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. to all residents who pay a membership fee. Parking is available.

The Parkwood Indoor Skating Rink [487-2975] is also part of the Parkwood Sports Complex. It provides public skating sessions and team events for ice sports, as well as a lounge with a wood-burning fireplace. Applications are accepted for ice skating birthday parties at the rink with catering by the snack bar. The ice rink is open from October through March. In-line skating and hockey are offered in the spring months.

Parkwood Tennis Learning Center [829-9050] consists of the Parkwood Indoor Tennis Center, which is a four-court, indoor facility, air-conditioned in summer and heated in winter. Hourly and seasonal court time can be reserved. Tennis lessons are available for children and adults at all levels and birthday parties can be planned at the facility. The outdoor courts at Parkwood are also a part of the Tennis Learning Center. Outdoor lessons are given in spring and summer. A variety of training programs, team play and tennis camps is offered. There are 30 outdoor tennis courts throughout the entire Park District.
